So I have to write a story for a English project and i need help with a name.
The main characters nickname is Bright but I have trouble finding a name Bright could be a nickname for.
Any ideas?

Well, perhaps names that mean something like intelligent, or the sun? First one that popped up was Apolline (Apollo, sun god? Is that a bit of a stretch? I think anything you use will be stretching it, but that's perfectly fine for nicknames.) Or you could go for something pretty similar.. like.. Brittany. *Hisss.* Anyhow, what sort of character is she? What is the meaning of choice for bright- clever, or cheerful, etc? Honestly, I think nicknames don't have to be directly related to the name itself. Maybe the character has a first name that she finds so attrocious that people call her other things.

Both Apolline and Briged are great suggestions, thank you.

Since the story has to be about light I think I'll give her a name that means light instead, and then the story will be about how she got her name. But I need help choosing which one.
I've narrowed my list down to:
Liora (my light;I see)
Lucine (light)
Luminita (little light)
Lux(light)

Other suggestions are welcome as well.

I really like Liora out of your choices.

If I may suggest some more, I think a name meaning bright would be cool. Some of my favorite are:
Zahra
Phoebe
Phaedra
Niamh
Clara

Then of course Bertha/Bertie means bright too...

Leora was actually my nieces name so I would say that one is my favorite.
