So, the board's been running a tad slow lately it seems, but of the few boards I belong to, I find opinions from here the most helpful, and a friend has asked for some final help in naming her daughter.

The couple have a son named Henry Alastair, and have decided on Imogene for their due baby girl. They have a shortlist of a few middle names, but can't decide.

Imogene Marguerite
Imogene Pandora
[she thought of Pandora watching the TV show 'Skins'!]
Imogene Florence
Imogene Beatrice

Their last name is Barton - what do you guys prefer? or any other suggestions, if you don't like those on their list?

Imogene's lovely. is she saying Im-oh-geen? or Im-oh-gin?

Imogene Marguerite gets my vote. The flow's fantastic and Marguerite polishes Imogene right up. And they sound great with their surname!

I like Imogene Pandora too, but Pandora almost overshadows sweet Imogene.

Imogene Beatrice would be my third pick, they're very sweet together.

Imogene & Florence together say 1930 to me, because that's about when they were last popular here. I don't know about there, though. Imogene needs something a bit more up to date paired with her.

Sophie, Im the Name of is ignoring me too. I did sign up but it needs activation and no one is doing that. I've asked twice now. If you're interested, why not give http://nameberry.com/ a chance? It's a nice, polite place and the boards are quite a bit more active than here. We'd LOVE to have you! Smile

Thanks for the input Smile

They're going with the plain old im-oh-gin, - but it never comes out with a long 'o' sound in the Australian accent - Vera just prefered that particular spelling I think?!

Thanks Lola - Matilda's got a swimming lesson now, so I'll check it out later!

I would choose Marguerite first and Pandora last. The other are middle-ish.

INTO isn't ignoring people. Anabel, who is the admin, has been away since the end of last year. She is just on a break and hasn't had much time to go through and check for spambots.
